Chadra Hauli
Chadra Hauli
Chadra-Hauli is a country palace of Khivan khans in 17th-19th centuries built far from cities in orchards. It was one of rest homes for governors of the khanate who left Khiva in summer season. There was kept a lost type of tower design made of clay blocks. The general size of this unique construction is 16.5x7.7 meters, and its height is more than 30 meters. On the ground floor of this construction were a stable and warehouses. Other floors were occupied by living rooms and an open terrace (aivan). Woman's half of the building was on the fourth floor.
