Crypt of Amir Temur Inscription in Arabic on the Temur's tombstone

According to the Spanish ambassador Claviho Amir Temur's mausoleum for was built in Shahrisabz at the beginning of the 15th century. Archeologists found a crypt of this mausoleum in the middle of the 20th century on the central axis of Dorus-Siadat memorial. This underground construction has cruciform structure and faced with marble which was decorated with carved inscriptions. The opened footings show, that there was a mausoleum with memorial mosque above the crypt. AmirTemur was buried inGur-Emir mausoleum in Samarkand instead of Shahrisabz. However, Dorus-Siadat has kept its value as an esteemed place that resulted in formation of a big cemetery for nobility around it.
