Minaret of Djuma Mosque in Khiva, Uzbekistan

Minaret of Djuma Mosque
Minaret of Djuma Mosque
One curious fact draws people's attention - the five Khiva's minarets are erected on the same line about 200 meters far from each other. Minaret of Djuma-Mosque is in the center of that line. To the west of it stand Kalta-Minor and a minaret of Sha-Kalandar-bobo complex. Minaret of Seyid-biy Mosque and Palvan-kari Minaret are situated to the east of the minaret. It's 6.2 meters in diameter at the basis and 32.5 meters high. Eight-arch lantern with dome and stalactite cornice crowns the minaret.
