Namazga Mosque
In the 11th century the Qarahanids had a wildlife reservation situated to the south of Bukhara. At the beginning of the 12th century Arslan-khan III decided to build there a namazga mosque. Namazga is a special mosque used for only two Muslim holidays - Kurban-hait and Ramazan-hait. Mosque of Arslan-khan was reconstructed in the 14th century, and in the 16th century it was supplied with an arched gallery, high portal and minbar. The present-day mosque is a frontal construction in the form of long brick wall with socle. There is a mihrad in the center decorated with bricks and carved terracotta.
